They say the Christmas-New Year period is the silly season, for punters, it could be the dream season. Over the New Year, two full rounds of Premier League football are to be played over six consecutive days. That’s a grueling run for players, bookmakers and punters. But then, it could be football betting at its best at Betbubbles.

Whilst most of the top ranked teams are short priced favourites over the six days, there are a couple of testing games that punters may want to treat warily. Manchester United and Arsenal are both carrying heavy injury lists, and that can place a lot of pressure on teams having to place twice in such a short period of time. Fortunately for United, their first game is at home against lowly Blackburn. Their second game is more of a test when they travel away to a spirited Newcastle.

Manchester City have allowed Manchester United to catch them at the top of the table following a lackluster performance over the weekend. They have a tough road trip to Sunderland on Sunday before hosting Liverpool two days later. These two games could be a real danger to their season having blown a five point advantage over their cross town rivals.

Chelsea have an easier run hosting Villa on Saturday then traveling to Wolverhampton on Monday. Arsenal have a relatively easy game at home against QPR on Saturday before traveling to Fulham on the Monday – that could be a real test of their playing strength given their injury toll.

Spurs could be the big winners of the six day carnival traveling to Swansea on Saturday before hosting West Brom on Tuesday – two games they should win. All in all, it’s a great six days of football action. We’ll preview the first round on Friday where Liverpool open the proceedings with a testing game against Newcastle – football betting at its very best.
